Properties of Aluminum Silicon Alloys Used to Cast Pistons,

Abstract

The comparison of the mechanical properties of the title alloys are given. There is no difference in the mechanical properties of eutectic alloys modified by sodium or by phosphorus. For precise calculations it is recommended that the values found at ambient temperature not be used, but those obtained at approximately the operating temperature after being stressed at this temperature for a long time should be used.
