Design, Fabrication, and Testing of a Shelter Nomenclatured Shelter, Electrical Equipment S-508/G.

Abstract

The primary objective of the program was to provide RADC an electronic-equipment shelter that successfully meets and exceeds the S-280/G requirements and is far more versatile for equipment installation. Detailed objectives were to: (1) Provide equipment mounting capability between the panel members and in the panel members of a foam-and-beam shelter. The insert installation was to be the Craig Model 555 Mounting System, which had been developed under a company-funded development program. (2) Provide a safeguard against delamination of the outer skin. (3) Maintain reasonable weight, while meeting S-280/G size and performance requirements. (Author)
