Analysis of Multipurpose Alkaline Cleaner.
Abstract
An investigation was conducted for the purpose of providing analytical test procedures for inclusion in a military specification describing an alkaline cleaner for removing paint, rust, and dirt from ferrous metallic substrates. The cleaner consists of a complex mixture of surfactants, chelating agent, sequesterant, and inhibitor combined in ratios essential for good cleaning. An additive, designed to extend the usable life of the cleaner, is also covered by the specification. (Author)
