Wind and Temperature Structure in the Surface Layer of the Atmosphere.

Abstract

Wind and temperature profiles and turbulent fluctuations of wind velocity and temperature were measured simultaneously for various conditions of horizontaly homogeneous turbulence. Turbulent fluxes of momentum and heat were computed with the profile data using the logarithmic wind profile and the Monin-Obukhov and Businger-Dyer models for turbulent turbulent transfer. Turbulent fluctuations of temperature and the longitudinal, lateral, and vertical wind velocity components were processed in terms of intensity and spectral characteristics. (Author)
