Analysis of Crossed-Field Travelling-Wave Amplifier (K Analizu Usilitelya s Begushchei Volvoi so Skreshchennymi Polyami),

Abstract

An investigation is made of the interactions of a spiral cluster of electrons, impelled by crossed homogeneous fields, with an electromagnetic wave in transmission lines. The transmission line can be either a coaxial wave guide or a structure elongated in the Z direction with azimuthal attenuation. Analysis of the interactions of a spiral electron cluster, moving in crossed fields, with an unattenuated electromagnetic wave, shows that in this case one obtains interactions of the O-type and of the M-type.
