Some Questions of the Operation of Metal/Polymer Friction Parts in an Acid Medium,

Abstract

A hypothesis is proposed with regard to the mechanism of wear of plastics in an acid medium and the factors which act on the magnitude of wear. Methods are proposed and confirmed experimentally for reducing wear and the friction coefficient of metal/polyamide pairs during operation in an acid medium. (Author)
