A Method for Determining the Coefficient of Dynamic Viscosity of a Liquid,

Abstract

The method is based on the measurement of the speed of a plate moving on the surface of the studied liquid. The theory of the motion of a viscous liquid, which occupies the space between 2 horizontal planes having a distance h between one another, is considered. An experimental arrangement is descirbed which measures the parameters of a given relation. The experiments were carried out with spindle oil, glycerol, and machine oil. Control measurements were made using the Engler method.
