A Plastic Lubricant for Railroad Axle Boxes,

Abstract

The patent concerns the plastic lubricant for railroad-car boxes on a base of the sodium-calcium soap of castor oil, diphenylamine, and mineral oil. It is distinguished by the fact that an antiseizing additive and a petroleum fraction, 170-350C, are added to increase its efficiency; it includes 18-22 percent sodium-calcium soap of castor oil, 0.7-1 percent diphenylamine, 0.4-5 percent antiseizing additive, 5-10 percent petroleum fraction (170-350C), and mineral oil to 100 percent.
