Verification Data: AFGWC Limited Area Meso-Scale Prediction Model.

Abstract

Forecasts produced by the AFGWC Meso-Scale Prediction Model are compared with observational RAWINSONDE data from stations within the N. American verification window. Statistical summaries are included for June, July, August, and September 1971. Summaries include frequency distribution and error statistics for 12 and 24 hours forecasts of temperature, D-value and wind at the 850, 700 and 500 mb levels. (Author)
