Three-Dimensional Electrical Analogy Seepage Model Studies. Appendix B: Flow to a Single Well Centered Inside a Circular Source, Series H.

Abstract

The design and construction of a three-dimensional electrical analogy model by the U. S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station (WES) were authorized in July 1959 by the U. S. Army Engineer Division, Lower Mississippi Valley. Since that time various test series have been conducted to determine the shape factors and potential distribution associated with generalized seepage problems. A description of the model and initial test results are contained in the main report and Appendix A thereto. Tests reported herein (Series H) were conducted to refine the shape factors and flux density factors for partially penetrating wells as determined in the Series F tests described in the main report. This appendix contains the results of these tests and has been published in loose-leaf form for insertion in the main report.
