Development and Presentation of a National War College Elective Course to Demonstrate the Use of Quantitative Techniques in the Study of International Relations. Volume 2. Workshop Manuals

Abstract

The first thirteen class periods of this course was devoted to the general subject of data-file analysis in the study of international politics. In the computer workshop, a set of selected international relations data-files was made available for use. The first part of the manual gives instructions for accessing the data by remote terminals from the classroom. The second part of this manual describes and illustrates the use of two advanced statistical packages. Each package is designed for the analysis of a specific type of date-file. The third part of the manual describes in detail the structure and contents of the four data-files selected for these workshops.
