Air Traffic Patterns for IFR and VFR Aviation, Calendar Year 1970.

Abstract

The report presents a detailed record of flight plans filed at flight service stations and combined station/towers as collected in a 2-percent random sample of all Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and Visual Flight Rules (VFR) flight plans filed in the 50 states and the ARTC area of San Juan, Puerto Rico. These data furnished the various Offices and Services of the Federal Aviation Administration with Terminal and en route air traffic activity for use in planning and management of the air traffic control system.
