On Anomalous Pitot Tube Readings in Inhomogeneous Liquids,

Abstract

An anomalous reduction in Pitot tube readings in suspensions of hard particles was experimentally established. A universal relationship was obtained, connecting the defect in Pitot tube readings with its dimensions, the diameter of particles, the velocity of flow and the volume concentration of particles.
