Operation of the SECEDE II Lobe-Sweep Interferometers

Abstract

Two pairs of twin-element, lobe-sweep radio interferometers were designed, constructed, bench-tested and operated in the field during the SECEDE II test series. On pair operates at a frequency of 145.7644 MHz, the other at 437.2932 MHz. The total of four interferometers is realized with three circularly polarized, broadband log-periodic antennas spaced equally along a two-hundred-meter baseline with the center antenna common to each interferometer pair.
