Dissociative Recombination Rate Measurements in N2, CO and He.

Abstract

A method of generating an atmospheric pressure, high electron density plasma with arbitrary electron temperature is described, and applied to measurement of electron ion recombination rates in N2 and CO. Preliminary results for He are also given. The recombination rates are shown to be independent of pressure in the region functions of E/N. (Author)
