A Study of Droplet Spectra in Fogs.

Abstract

A dynamical fog model, which explains fog maintenance, is utilized as a basis for the description of the droplet distributions within fog layers. The possible phenomena leading to the observed droplet size distributions are discussed and relationships between these distributions and expected conditions of supersaturation and turbulence in a stationary fog are developed.
