Statistical Evaluation of Cone-Penetration-Test Data

Abstract

The objectives of the evaluation tests were: (a) To determine the statistical reliability of Cone-Penetration Resistance (CPR) data; (b) To investigate the boundary and interaction effects of penetration within the mobile-cart specimen. (c) To determine the influence of a static plate-bearing test on neighboring CPR tests; (d) To evaluate the relative uniformity of the prepared specimen.
