Bending of Plates of Nonhomogeneous Material under Elastoplastic Strain (Izgibplastin iz Neodnorodnogo Materiala pri Uprugo-Plasticheskikh Deformaisiyakh),

Abstract

The object of the study is the flexure of rectangular plates of generally nonhomogeneous material when the elastic modulus (or shear modulus) and the yield stress vary over the thickness of the plate. The study has been made with the method of elastic solutions in combination with the method of finite differences and the variation method. The work is based on the Kirchhof-Love hypotheses; the condition of plasticity reverts to the energy theory; the material of the plates was assumed to be imcompressible. (Author)
