A Problem of Ranking and Estimation with Poisson Processes,

Abstract

A procedure is given for selecting from K > or = given Poisson processes the process with the largest parameter and for estimating its parameter with pre-assigned accuracy. Two cases are considered, that is, when the processes are observed continuously and when they are observed at successive intervals of time. (Author)
