High Mach Number Turbulent Magnetosonic Shocks.

Abstract

High M sub A turbulent magnetosonic shocks have been simulated using an electromagnetic particle code, by driving a purely reflecting piston into the plasma. A physical analysis of the results is presented together with scaling arguments and comparisons with experimental data. (Author)
