Providing for Timely Curricular Changes,
Abstract
A free curricular enterprise within bounds which provides for timely curricular changes is described as a mode of operation between the two extremes of the curricular spectrum; namely, the completely free curricular operation and the absolute monopolistic curricular operation. The demand for courses is generated by the preparation of curricular programs under the cognizance of curricular chairmen. Students invest in courses supplied by discipline-oriented departments under the cognizance of the traditional departmental chairmen. The quasi competition within bounds provides a range of free curricular enterprise beyond the minimum Master degree requirements for an interlocking curricula superstructure containing pertinent concepts in disciplines of other school sufficiently meaningful to attract and educate those needed to define and solve the urgent problems of contemporary society.
