Trident Cruise Number 26.

Abstract

Cruise 26 was a physical oceanography cruise to the Gulf Stream off Cape Hatteras. The following types of measurements were planned: bottom mounted current meters; direct transport measurements; hydrographic stations; neutrally buoyant floats; and GEK. The greatest amount of effort was devoted to making direct measurements of the volume transport of the Gulf Stream. (Author)
