APL/FORTRAN Translations

Abstract

The advantages and limitations of APL/360 and OS/360 are outlined and a set of simple rules for translating APL to FORTRAN is given. A translation library containing FORTRAN programs that in a limited sense simulate the results of some of the more commonly used APL functions is described and listed for interested users.
