Research Directed Toward Design of Instrumentation for Investigations of Aerospace by Rocket and Satellite Probe Techniques.

Abstract

The report provides detailed design information for electronic and mechanical instrumentation furnished for use on rocket and satellite-borne experiments and associated ground support equipment. These experiments were concerned with the detection and measurement of charged-particle phenomena and electric fields in the space environment. Items designed, developed and fabricated under this contract include: Experimental Programmers, High Voltage Power Supplies, Charged Particle Sensors, Electric Field Sensors, Extendible Spacecraft Appendages (Booms), Ground Support Equipment, etc. Photographs, schematics, diagrams, etc. for typical components are included in the report.
