Magnetic and Velocity Configurations in the Solar Atmosphere.

Abstract

A powerful data-reduction system has been constructed to aid in the solution of important problems involving magnetic and velocity fields on the surface of the sum. In the near future this system, coupled to telescope control and data acquisition systems now being built, will be moved to the 150-foot solar tower telescope at Mount Wilson where it will provide astronomers with a powerful new tool for research in solar physics.
