Computer Output Micro Films, New Output Technique in ADP,

Abstract

The article discusses microfilm output installations (MUW) and their basic assemblies: a magnetic tape reading installation, a central control installation, an oscilloscope lamp equipped with a sign generator, a form projector, and a camera for microfilming. A highly efficient setup for developing and copying documents is described. Methods of retrieving information recorded on microfilms and methods of stroke coding, picture counting, and binary coding are presented. Currently available MUW are reviewed. (Author)
