Technology in an Aggregate Model of the Defense Resource Allocation Problem.

Abstract

Technology is incorporated into an aggregate model of the defense resource allocation problem. The Planning, Programming, and Budgeting System provides a frame of reference. A short survey on the nature and terminology of technology is followed by a component by component explanation of the model. Decision rules for efficient resource allocation are characterized. Variation in the parameters of the model and decentralization possibilities are discussed. A summary which includes a strategy for future research concludes the paper. (Author)
