AFGWC Forward Trajectory Model.
Abstract
The paper describes the AFGWC Forward Trajectory Model, a customer-oriented global parcel trajectory model. The global capability of this model is a result of the input global wind fields available in the AFGWC data base. The model computes forecast positions out to 72 hours of a parcel of air starting at any pre-determined point, follows the parcel for up to ten days and each cycle provides the current position and forecast positions at each interval during the ten day period. The customer has various options available concerning the construction and use of the trajectories. (Author)
