Manpower Planning Models: COMPLIP and CHAMP. Volume I. Main Body.

Abstract

The report discusses three manpower planning models developed by RAC for the Army (Manpower and Reserve Affairs). The models are two new members of the COMPLIP (Computation of Manpower Programs Using Linear Programming) family and a pilot version of a new model, CHAMP (Chance-Constrained Adaptive Manpower Planning). Volume 1 discusses the development history, rationale, and typical applications of these models. Appendices, which are published as Vol 2 document the equations and input data of each model.
