Communication Cables,

Abstract

The book discusses the theory of communication cables, the principles of their construction and electric design, and in addition it gives the construction and electric characteristics of modern balanced and coaxial cables. The problem of mutual induction in communication cables, and methods of protection against induction effects are also discussed. Separate chapters are devoted to radio-frequency cables and waveguides. The appendix contains examples of computing electric parameters of cables. (Author)
