Development and Evaluation of Performance-Oriented Test Equipment Training Procedures.
Abstract
The correct use of many different types of test equipment is one of the most basic electronic skills needed by Navy technicians. On many occasions technicians have been found deficient in proper test equipment skills. Several training formats have been developed to improve these deficiencies, but are now either obsolete or have been placed out of current training programs. However, some of the concepts contained in these earlier training materials are still valid. These concepts and recent training developments were used as a basis in constructing workbooks for the USM-140 oscilloscope and the PSM-4 multimeter. It was felt that the type of training that resulted would meet with high student acceptability and yield appropriate performance levels. (Author)
