Research in Seismology

Abstract

A brief summary of the research efforts under this contract is provided. The areas of investigation fall under five categories: Seismic wave propagation in heterogeneous media; seismic source theory; study of structure, properties and heterogeneities of the earth's interior; utilization of seismic arrays; development and performance of long-period tiltmeters.
