Anti-Pitting Properties of Lubricating Material on a Four Ball Friction Machine,

Abstract

To determine the anti-pitting qualities of oils, the authors used a Four-Ball Friction Machine, on which the conditions of the experiment enabled the anti-pitting qualities of lubricants to be studied in comparison with a small number of parallel experiments. The equipment used involved 12.7 mm diameter balls (GOST 3722-60) with cylindrical cups of ShKh-15 steel. (Author)
