Aerosol Insecticide Container Evaluation.

Abstract

A safe test set-up and testing procedure was conceived using available laboratory equipment and readily obtainable materials for the purpose of getting the bursting pressures of three types of insecticide, filled aerosol cans. The results strongly indicate that the two-piece, extruded aerosol container, is superior to the other two types and is the type recommended for aircraft use in compliance with disinfection of aircraft. There were no failures among the six cans of this type that were tested. Failure did occur in each of the other two types. (Author)
