On the Operation of a Marine Gravimeter with a Coding Attachment (O Rabote Morskogo Gravimetra s Kodiruyushchei Pristavkoi),

Abstract

The article discusses the performance analysis of a gravimeter with an analogue-to digital converter of its reading on a submarine. It gives a characteristic of the zero-point displacement under various transportation conditions of the instrument. The dependence of the observation random error on the duration of these conditions has been experimentally determined. It has been shown that during work on the submarine the results of the measurements are free of systematic error. The random component is equal to plus or minus 2.2 mgal, and the error of a tack amounts to about plus or minus 3.5 mgal. (Author)
