On the Second Degree of Freedom of the Pendulum in the Elastic System of Quartz Gravimeters (O Vtoroi Stepeni Svobody Mayatnika Uprugoi Sistemy Kvartsevyth Gravimetrov),

Abstract

It has been shown experimentally that when a pendulum is influenced by forces directed parallel to the thread axis, the pendulum can rotate in a horizontal plane. A device has been assembled to measure this pendulum rotation, and it has been shown that when the elastic system is tilted in the plane of the threads the angle of the pendulum's turn in the horizontal plane can reach 5 angular minutes.
