Induction-Field Determination of Sensitivity for Loop Antenna-Type Fuzes,

Abstract

An investigation has been made to establish if induction field measurements performed in a laboratory Ecco-Absorb chamber are applicable to determine standard sensitivity for fuzes employing loop antennas. Diode detector voltage values obtained in the near field of the fuze are used to predict voltage values in the far field, which in turn are related to standard sensitivity. It had been postulated that by measuring signal voltage in the induction field of the fuze that standard sensitivity could be predicted. (Author)
