Some Data on the Distribution of Suspended Particles in the Waters of the Kurile-Kamchatka Trench (Nekotorye Dannye o Raspredelenii Vzveshennykh Chastits v Vodakh Kurilo-Kamchatskoi Vpadiny),

Abstract

A considerable quantity of suspended matter was contained in the surface layers of oceanic water in the Kurile-Kamchatka Trench region during the observation period. In comparison with data obtained in other parts of the World Ocean the mean concentration of suspended matter is somewhat similar to that observed in other Far Eastern seas between phytoplankton blooms.
