ASW Ordnance Inventory Study: a Synopsis of TRW Participation.

Abstract

A key element of the ASW Ordnance Inventory Objectives Study is the development of a methodology to determine Inventory Objectives of ASW ordnance items. The Systems Group of TRW, Inc., under Navy direction has developed a computerized tool which computes ordnance expenditures for combat and non-combat missions. This computerized tool allows a Navy decision maker to rapidly estimate total ordnance requirements, and to convert these requirements into inventory objectives. The planner can assess the impact of logistic and fiscal constraints upon his ability to meet expenditure requirements. (Author)
