Development of a Standard 16mm Microfilm Container. Engineering Accomplishment Report Number 4.

Abstract

The report describes the efforts expended and the results covering the development and documentation of 16mm microfilm containers and cartridge adapter decks. In particular, the report describes the events leading to the design concept which was selected as being the most suitable for use by the Government and for prototype-production and field testing in a future phase of the program. The design selected was one from several design concept which were developed, modeled and tested in the program as part of the 'Short Range' effort to provide interim relief to the loader/user agencies from the logistic problems of handling and stocking different types of containers for 16mm microfilm for current readers.
