Infra-Red Lasers and Infra-Red Spectra of Free Radicals.

Abstract

Briefly summarized is research concerning the achievement of CW laser action in various atom-molecule reactions, in particular HCl and CO lasers. The methods which were to be employed were detailed in the original proposal and comprised a highpower magnetic induction discharge for the generation of atoms and a high speed flow system where these atoms were to be titrated by stable adducts. The initial series of experiments are reported. (Author)
