Implicit Ad-H oc Methods for Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations,

Abstract

Special methods are introduced for the solution of certain nonlinear partial differential equations used to describe wave propagation and diffusion. Implicit separation of variables is developed and applied to nonlinear wave problems. Both explicit and implicit generalized traveling wave concepts are explained and applied in fluid mechanics and diffusion. (Author)
