Hydraulic Specification Program on Phase 2.

Abstract

The purpose of the OSU-MERDC hydraulics specification program is to develop industrially acceptable test procedures and requirement specifications relative to the performance of hydraulic components and systems to facilitate the military's 'buy commercial' approach. Although the program has been aimed toward components and systems for future 3000 psi operating pressure levels, it is intended that the test procedures be applicable to any pressure level. The objective is not only to establish acceptable standards for appraising component performance but also to be able to predict the influence of the components on the overall system.
