Cross-Cultural Communication through Nonverbal Behavior

Abstract

In seven cultures there are the same facial expressions of emotion. It appears that the same muscular movements may be related to the same emotions for all mankind. Most gestures are culturally specific, although there are a few which are multi-cultural. In these, the same movement is associated with the same message.
