The Response of Systems with a Small Stochastic Parameter

Abstract

The report deals with two problems in the area of stochastic systems. First, the eigenvalue problem which is solved using some techniques of functional analysis. Secondly, these techniques are extended and applied to the problem of forced vibration of a system which has a small stochastic parameter. As an example, the techniques are applied to a string of random density.
