TMA Payload, Field Services and Data Reduction.

Abstract

A TMA payload was constructed and launched from the Eglin Test Range in Florida. Wind data were obtained with a stereo method of analysis from photographs taken at two closely spaced sites. Optical sites were established also at other locations in Florida to observe a vapor trail during the solar eclipse of 7 March 1970, but observations were prevented due to complete cloud cover at the sites. Optical sites were operated during the summer and fall of 1969 at Ft. Churchill, Canada for the observation of chemical releases associated with the PCA program. A measurement of the electric field was obtained from observation of a barium release and a wind profile was obtained from a TMA release. (Author)
