Evaluating the Structural Reliability of Telemechanics Time Systems in the Process of Designing,

Abstract

Procedures are outlined for estimating the reliability of time synchronization and for selecting the most reliable system from a number of different systems. The estimate of system reliability is made on the basis of the reliability prediction for the information carrying circuits. The disadvantage of this procedure is that the reliability estimates are relative; however, since the same criteria are applied to comparing several systems, the results obtained are useful in the initial stages of design of time division telemetry systems.
