Rigid Active Capsules for Safety Explosives (Zhestkie Aktivnye Obolochki dyla Predokhranitelnykh VV),

Abstract

Protective shells for capsules are sometimes placed around the explosive charges used in mine blasting to prevent detonation of the charges due to compression during insertion into blast holds. If active (explosive) shells are used, they take part in the explosion of the charge, increase its energy and reliably protect the explosive from overcompression.
