Gas Dynamic Laser Technology Studies.
Abstract
A gas dynamic laser system was designed and put in operation at the U. S. Naval Ordnance Laboratory by modifying the 3 Megawatt Arc Tunnel. Independent analytical studies assisted in the design of the experiments. Comparison of analytical prediction and experiments, which were carried out under less than ideal conditions, give fair to very good agreement. Further experiments have been designed on the basis of the current investigations. (Author)
