The Influence of the Magnus Moment on the Dynamic Stability of a Projectile.

Abstract

The dynamic stability of a projectile is evaluated based on the range of values normally associated with the influencing parameters. The effect of each parameter is demonstrated and it is seen that the pitch damping moment, the transverse radius of gyration and the Magnus moment have the largest influence on the dynamic stability.
